Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have endorsed Kamala Harris as the presumptive Democratic nominee for president.

In a video endorsement, the former president and first lady called the vice president to say: 'Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office.'
With less than 100 days to the presidential election, high-profile endorsements could prove pivotal in helping maintain the momentum that Harris campaign has enjoyed among Democrats since she entered the race less than a week ago.
